Classic Correspondence from Egyptian Hall Museum
by Mike Caveney

This is a wonderful book. It is a compilation of 24 Classic Correspondence letters and articles that were published in Magic Magazine on 2006 – 2007. These letters come from the extensive collection from the Egyptian Hall Museum in California. Each of the letters in this book is a treasure-trove of information about the history of magic at the turn of the 20th century. The letters reveal great insights into the personalities of those involved and provide us with first hand information about people, places, tricks, theaters and everything else that might be mentioned. Sometimes the writer or recipient (or both) are well known names and in other cases they are totally unknown. The entire book is printed in full-color with additional annotations, previously unseen photographs, posters and rare memorabilia.

Some magicians in this collection include Charles Carter, Harry Houdini, Edwin Brush, W.D. Leroy, Angelo Lewis, Will Goldston, and many, many more.

If you are interested in the history of magic, this is a must have book.
