Rameses – The Forgotten Star
by Chris Woodward

This is the biography of Albert Marchinski, a Russian-Polish immigrant, who in 1908 began his career as the Great Rameses, the Egyptian wonder worker. He presented spectacular illusions and performed mostly in England and the United States. His career spanned 22 years.

We have one of his posters in our private collection. It is always good to know the story behind the images we have. Rameses was certainly on of those successful illusionists from the early 20th century that we are now happy to learn more about.
